Our greatest asset: our volunteers

L’Œuvre Soupe Maison Lachine runs entirely on the work of dedicated and passionate volunteers. Every week from September to June, our team comes together to cook hundreds of meals, prepare bags of groceries and distribute meals to people in need.

No salaries are paid: all donations go directly to those in need.

Roles to fill

Our volunteer needs

Whether your talents lie in cooking, logistics or digital communications, your contribution is welcome. We currently need volunteers for the following roles:

  • Head cook (URGENT)
  • Handyperson
  • Kitchen helper
  • Preparing meal bags and grocery bags
  • Collecting food from partner businesses and organizations
  • Clothing distribution
  • Fundraising campaigns
  • Administration
  • Social media assistant

Schedule

Required availability

Kitchen and distribution volunteers are needed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, from September to June.

The social media assistant position is flexible and can be done remotely.
